MORNING PRAYER Friday, April 18, 2025
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” I thank you today, Lord, for the reminder that sometimes, before we get better, things are going to get worse. Before we cross that finish line of victory, there is a race that must be run. Today, I remember the walk Jesus took to that hill far away, a journey that he prayed and anguished about. There are some journeys that I must travel, some hills that I too must climb, but at the end of it all is my healing. Today, I am one day closer to finishing the race, one day closer to lifting my hands in victory. Who knows, tomorrow may be the day that I cross the finish line. Hallelujah!
